New Divis Mountain Tourist Attraction
Work is almost complete on the first phase of a £1.75 million tourist facility at Divis Mountain.
The 'Standing Stones' development will include a guesthouse, restaurant, self-catering accommodation and a camping and caravan park. The project broke ground at the site on the Divis Road outside west Belfast early last year. Phase one has seen the erection of an eight-bedroom guesthouse and parking.
Phase two will be a 100-seater restaurant serving high quality local produce, 16 self-catering units and phase three will be an area for camping and caravans.
Developer Paul McLarnon and architect John McGarrity aim to provide facilities for an increasing number of tourists and walkers who visit the area.
The exciting project was showcased by Belfast City Council last year at the property trade show MIPIM in London. ”
