Taxi Association Tours
Take a tour of West Belfast in a famous Black Taxi – the mode of vehicle that has provided a community transport service for over 35 years. An authenticated association member will give you the opportunity to visit wall murals, memorial gardens, and other places of interest.

Black Mountain Walks

Bog Meadows Nature Reserve
Wildlife returns to the city and you have an opportunity to visit it in the Bog Meadows Nature Reserve in the heart of West Belfast. Tour the largest piece of natural wild land remaining within the urban area of Belfast. The UNESCO award winning Bog Meadows is a safe haven for wildlife and a fun place for visitors of all ages. The 47-acre site consists of wetland, grassland and woodland habitats, and is home to all manner of wildlife.
Colin Glen Forest Park
Enjoy the setting of the countryside within the city. Colin Glen Park is a beautiful wooded river glen, consisting of 200 acres of scenic woodland, grass land, waterfalls and ponds. Enter the gates and uncover a broadleaf woodland of Oak, Ash, Beech, Willow and Hazel trees, as well as a range of wildflowers, insects and birds including Grey Herons, Sparrowhawks and Treecreepers.
Clonard Monastery
Come and find out how the Clonard Church and Monastery came to be built and get guided round the spectacular French Gothic-style church. Redemptorist Priests and Brothers have lived and worked in West Belfast for the past 100 years. Discover the important role they have played within the Clonard and Greater West Belfast communities throughout the many years of conflict, as well as their pivotal contribution to the current Peace Process.
City and Milltown Cemeteries
This historical walk of the City and Milltown Cemeteries led by Councillor Tom Hartley lasts from three-to-five hours. These two cemeteries reflect the complex social and political history of Belfast going back 130 years. Both cemeteries contain many personalities from a wide range of backgrounds and professions whose lives are woven through the fabric of the Belfast story. Outdoor clothing, a good pair of walking boots and light refreshments are a necessity.
Upper Andersonstown
Visit the Shaws Road Gaeltacht, home to the Six Counties’ first Irish-medium primary school in recent times (there are now 31). Also take in Roddy McCorley’s Club where you can learn about the building’s fascinating history while enjoying great views of Belfast.
