The obstruction of the natural world caused by human constructs and man-made architectural elements are common themes in Fox’s work, The artist seeks to push further the notion of human construction by focusing on the man-made objects witnessed within the paintings, that tend to cut through the landscape and obstruct the natural world.
David Fox is both living and working in Belfast at Creative Exchange Artist Studios, since completing an MFA at University of Ulster in 2013. He has exhibited throughout Ireland and internationally and this is his first exhibition in the Dillon Gallery.
